And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
—Hebrews 10:24-25
The purpose of a faith-based small group is to build trusting relationships with God and one another. When we meet each other for conversation, practice and prayer, we learn how to love.
Throughout scripture, from Deuteronomy to the letters of the Apostles to the early church, we know that being a disciple of Jesus requires intentional moments of study, reflection and action – both individually and within community.
God longs for us to love God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and might. Small groups teach us how to love in a way that individual study and a greater learning community alone cannot. Small groups help us to connect what we’ve learned in our minds to our souls and our hearts, and then give us the encouragement to love God with all of our might. When formation engages each part of the person, disciples can begin to live fully into their faith.
Currently, Youth (6th-12th grade) gather at 3G- Wednesday Nites. We discuss theological issues that are important to building up our community and our spiritual practices.
Our parents brought us before God and the church community to have us baptized into the body of Christ. When Youth are in 6th-9th grade we explore in depth the promises of what our parents and the fellowship of the church made for us before God. Early in May 2024, the Youth and the community will affirm their baptism as a community.
If you are an adult wishing to explore this path, please talk or email the Pastor.
